About Us

Nancy has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for 38 years. She is extensively experienced in Mental and Behavioral Healthcare.

She is the owner of our clinic, and I can assure you, she is the nicest person you will ever meet. 

Our team at Avenues of Mental Health LLC consists of licensed and experienced mental/behavioral healthcare professionals. We are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for every client. Nancy describes her job as "Turning Frowns, Upside Down."

 Dr. Daniel brings a rare and expansive depth of clinical skills, holding a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Northern Arizona University and a master’s degree in counseling from Appalachian State University (with specializations in Addictions, Marriage & Family, and Group Counseling), as well as foundational undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Political Science from Duke University.

Dr. Daniel’s expertise has earned national leadership roles, including serving as National President of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and State President of the Arizona Counselors Association. Her academic contributions include serving as an online adjunct faculty member at Grand Canyon University and Argosy University, as well as acting as a Subject Matter Expert for the State of California Board of Behavioral Services and McKissock Inc. Her extensive contributions earned her the 2008 Woman of the Year designation by the American Biographical Institute.

 Hello! Heath Baker 39 years old father of 3 plus "Twins".  I'm an avid outdoorsman and love to hunt and fish.  My gratification in life comes from watching my kids be awesome and helping people find the best version of themselves.  I believe in genuineness and authenticity and if you have me as a therapist that's exactly what you will get.  My Grandpa once told me "a life not lived for others is a life not lived ."  With that being said, I'm grateful to work a job where I get to be a light in people's lives to help them to navigate their way out of dark places. I'm a firm believer that anything is possible no matter how bad it may look or seem, and sometimes a little support from someone who believes in you is all that is needed to change everything.

 

Courtney, born and raised here in southwest Missouri, has 18 years of experience in various mental health fields.  Courtney holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Recreation Therapy at Pittsburg State University. Then continuing her studies at University of Missouri - Kansas City, graduating with a Master of Social work.  Courtney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with the state of Missouri. She also is our Substance Abuse / Addiction Counselor Certified as a Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRAADC)

Hi, I’m Melissa!  I’m a mother to a spunky toddler, and I love spending time with my husband and family. I graduated from Missouri State University with a Master’s degree in Social Work. I recently became an LMSW and am now working toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

I’m passionate about helping people feel heard, supported, and comfortable being themselves. I previously worked with the adolescent population and enjoyed connecting with others while helping them navigate life’s challenges. I’ll strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you can be honest, grow, and work toward the life you want.
